The Venture Catalyst Challenge is a programme run by Imperial College and Imperial Innovations together to help students prove the commercial viability of a concept or technology they are developing. The students and alumni who participate take it exceptionally seriously, with 10 teams applying for each of the 15 spots each year, and graduates of the programme having raised over £11m. Serious ventures emerge and beyond significant fundraising we have also seen several startups acquired, by companies such as Facebook and Elsevier.

We are looking for sector experts to volunteer 2-3 hours over the 6 week period (Feb- March ’16) to help teams gain a deeper insight into specific industries and for an experienced perspective on their development. Applications are currently underway, so we cannot announce the teams in advance, but are building a list of possible mentors.

If you or any of your colleagues are interested in being involved, please contact Dominic Falcao at and kindly cc in.
